Since its inception the Chamber of Commerce Buenaventura:

Has worked with a noble purpose of service for the city and its community.

Has worked hard to respond efficiently and effectively to the functions delegated by the Government as: the Commercial Register, non-profit organizations and proponents Register.

Has promoted the advancement and carrying out of fundamental works for the city.

Has promoted the regional economical development.

The Chamber of Commerce of Buenaventura has reached 80 years since its foundation, leaving a deep imprint of satisfaction among the population of the port-city.

Today, our goal is to fulfill the functions delegated for the Public Registry, in addition to work for the microenterprise development, international management, harmony, quality management, the promotion regional trade and competitiveness.

In agreement with the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo, international agencies like the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura) and SENA, are developing projects for the creation of a binational enterprises incubator.

Through the CARCE, Consultex and the office of Economic Research, we are working for the training of business people to maintain their competitiveness abroad.

The international trade information services and trade promotion activities offered by the Chamber of Commerce of Buenaventura are designed according to the needs of employers and have generated a new entrepreneurial culture and show a city characterized by the competitiveness of all its sectors, with an economy and a government that bet on the future.

The programs in the strengthening of democracy, are made through the center of civic participation, teaching and training inspectors who feel the social control as knowledge and a tool for surveillance of the public.

Currently we support the citizen coexistence through the Centro de Conciliacion y Amigable Composicion, where the employer in a direct a civilized way can find a cordial and agreed outcome to the solution to their conflicts.

Thanks to the work of the Chamber of Commerce of Buenaventura; micro, small, medium and large companies have been able to insert their products to foreign markets and, likewise, business opportunities for private investors from anywhere are generated.

The entity orients the economic activity in the region with significant economic and prospective studies that measure the potential of Buenaventura, providing research evidence to employers to make decisions. The entity is also an important source of economic information to the media in the city and the country. The support for various cultural events ratifies it as an organization that bets on the future and works to build the better society, basis for achieving sustainable development.

Into the city, in its physical structure, we have also built space in its headquarters, comfortable offices to attend the users of public records, for a better service for our merchants and businessmen, large meeting rooms to organize business meetings.

Moreover, technologically we have high quality equipment, enabling better management and automated management of records, also for the Business Register, by its acronym in Spanish: Registro Único Empresarial (RUE).

All these achievements have always had a committed staff in their daily work, developing the group work strategy, with quality as it is established in the general system of quality.
